What this policy covers
This policy applies to design and engineering engagements contracted with us. Where a signed statement of work contains different terms, that document takes precedence.
Deposits and advances
Projects begin with an advance that reserves capacity in our schedule and funds the discovery phase. Because that capacity is held for you and turned away from others, the advance is non-refundable once discovery has started.
If you cancel before discovery begins, we refund the advance in full, less any transaction fees charged by the payment provider.
Milestone payments
- Milestones are invoiced when the corresponding work is delivered for review.
- Payments for milestones you have accepted are not refundable.
- If a milestone is delivered and does not materially meet the agreed specification, we will correct it at our cost — that is the remedy, rather than a refund.
Cancelling an engagement
Either party may end an engagement with written notice as set out in the agreement, typically 14 days. On termination we invoice for work completed and work in progress up to the notice date, and we credit any prepaid amount that exceeds it.
Any credit due is returned within 14 business days of the final reconciliation, by the same method you paid.
Retainers
Retainers are billed monthly in advance and are not refundable for the month in progress. Unused hours do not carry over unless the agreement says otherwise. You may cancel a retainer with 30 days’ notice, effective at the end of the current billed month.
Work product on termination
On payment of all outstanding invoices, we hand over everything produced to that point — source code, design files, credentials and documentation — regardless of who ended the engagement.
Disputes
If you believe something has been billed incorrectly, tell us within 30 days of the invoice date and we will review it properly. We would far rather resolve a dispute directly than through a chargeback. Questions about this document can go to bhavubhoi806@gmail.com.
